The Zephyr Project was founded by Tony Smith working with some of the most exciting people he’s met in his twenty-five years as a change agent. Tony has helped leaders create transitions in their organizations. He has worked with Fortune 100 companies, Silicone Valley start-ups, SRI International, the Ford Foundation, the National Science Foundation, with cities, counties, non-profits - and with individuals. He has a PhD in political science and wrote a book on organization change. He’s currently working on another book, and has spoken on leadership and change across America and in Europe.
For more than 25 years Sam Taylor has led community development programs and consulted with organizations undergoing significant change. He is currently an independent consultant and a Senior consultant to the Zephyr Project, a San Francisco think tank.
He did community development work in West Africa as a member of the Peace Corps. Worked with the Tuoulumne County Superintendent of Schools Office coaching at risk youth; and field tested peer group, cross-age coaching and mentoring programs.
He is the founder, and Executive Director of Senior Youth Partnership a multiple award winning inter-generational mentoring program that provides innovative programs to the community.
He was a Senior Consultant with Odyssey Institute in San Francisco working with organizations undergoing transitions. Clients included: Fannie Mae, Handlery Hotels, Katalysis Micro-finance Systems and numerous Cities, Counties and library systems in California.
He was an instructor at Golden Gate University in an On-line Organizational behavior program used as a model for a new national high school leadership training program.
In addition, Sam has been active in community service programs including: Member, University of California Tenth Campus Selection Steering Committee; President, City Hotel Board of Directors; Member, California Department of Education Delinquency Prevention team, and he has made presentations at California Youth Authority Conferences.
Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University, a California Vocational Education Credential and an active Masters level Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
